Remembrance

Remembrance
I spent awhile in the wood this morning, exploring some of the bits that I hadn’t previously reached. Newly bare trees reaching for the light caught my eye and gave me the idea of making an image for Remembrance Sunday. I can’t think of anywhere better than a wood to spend time reflecting. It certainly beats two minutes’ silence in Waitrose on Friday.

I can think of words – fragments – that come to mind yet giving them a little structure eludes me.

Standing upright
Dark forms against the morning sky
Fragile limbs, broken
Fragmentation
A memory
